Prescott Park Arts Festival is one of the most important and unique pieces of our community.
Festivals and experiences like Prescott Park are far and few between. Where else can you find a summer full of diverse and quality productions offered to the entire community at a token suggested entry donation?
Since 1974, Prescott Park Arts Festival has touched the lives of more than 3.5 million people through more than 10,000 productions and presentations.
Besides offering affordable access to the arts, the festival also provides the opportunity to perform on a professional stage in front of a large audience to a variety of organizations, youth, and aspiring musicians and actors.
As an independent, non-profit organization, Prescott Park Arts Festival relies heavily on the support of individuals and businesses who recognize the value of this well-loved summer tradition and who believe in investing back into their communities.
Contrary to popular belief, the festival is not city-funded and does not receive any of your tax dollars. The festival does receive inkind services from the city.
Despite serving such an integral role in the community, the festival does not have a large endowment and relies on annual contributions. Each dollar that is received is a direct investment in the organization and what it is able to offer back. To us, we feel there is no better investment around.
If you're not among our community members who are supporting the Prescott Park Arts Festival as a member, annual fund donor, or sponsor, we encourage you to join us. The benefits are considerable and the dividends for your community are astronomical.
Your support allows the festival to continue to enrich our lives, inspire and enthrall our children, contribute to the local economy, and make our community one of the best places to live and visit.
Programs to Support Prescott Park Arts Festival
Annual Fund Gifts provide unrestricted funds for the most critical needs of the festival and have a direct impact on the festival programming. Support in this area allows the festival to maintain its mission of offering events at no fixed admission.
Major Gifts provide significant contributions to the festival and are often restricted to a particular program, building project, or endowment fund at the festival. The Development Committee welcomes the opportunity to discuss major gift options.
Memorial Gifts are made to honor an individual associated with Prescott Park or a loved one who might have enjoyed the festival experience. These gifts are generally unrestricted and support our programming efforts.
Planned Gifts and Bequests generally include life income gifts such as charitable trusts, charitable gift annuities, and life insurance policies where the donor, in exchange for a gift, receives income for life. The festival benefits from the gift upon the passing of the income beneficiary. These gifts have had a substantial impact on the festival operation over the past 35 years.
